Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are vital to our success!

The Boosters Club aims to provide fun experiences, learning opportunities, easy fundraisers, and community building events for the entire Hathaway community. This is only possible with the help of our amazing Boosters Committee and the families that volunteer to support our students and school. Boosters truly appreciates any help families are willing or able to contribute and relies on our volunteers to make all these things possible.

WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?

Any adult family member who would like to be involved in their student’s education and school activities is welcome to volunteer with Boosters.  All volunteers must have completed a background check with the district to be eligible to volunteer. Background checks require a valid Washington or Oregon ID or driver’s license.  This can be done through Tracy Ellis in the school’s office or by completing the background check here.

WAYS TO VOLUNTEER

There are many ways to volunteer with Boosters Club, from planning and staffing our events and fundraisers to volunteering your time in the school for our students and staff.

  • Join the Boosters Club Committee for monthly meetings where we meet with the principal to discuss and plan Boosters activities and the budget.

  • Coordinating or staffing events

  • Attending events and Family Engagement Nights

  • Preparing for and executing fundraisers

  • Completing various tasks requested by school staff or the Boosters Club

  • Working with your student’s teacher to find ways to best support their classroom

  • Sourcing donations for events

  • General donations to Boosters Club

  • Joining the Boosters Club Board

GETTING STARTED

Completing the Parent Volunteer form and background check at the beginning of the year or adding your information to our volunteer list here helps the Boosters Committee to find the right opportunities for each volunteer. Volunteers are also welcomed to contact the Boosters Committee at any time throughout the year.

  • For individuals volunteering for your student’s class, please contact your child’s teacher directly to plan how and when you can help out.
